Some Ill Snaps for Your Delectation, Yo!? Eh?

I'm back from Ontario with promised pics. As always, click pic to embiggen slideshow, mouse over individual pics for secret message!

First group is from Algonquin Provincial Park in Northern Ontario. It's not the farthest North I've ever been, but if you drew a straight line from where I'm standing in that first pic to the North Pole you probably would not hit a single human settlement.

I went on a two week canoeing trip in Canada when I was a teen. That sign means, "A zillion mosquitoes waiting for people who can't slap them here."

Nice pictures, Jim H.

northness - where you were is no norther than montreal, e.g., and souther than quebec city

niagara - it's really something - i was there once in the wintertime with all the ice

squirrel - within the last week i looked up the etymology of this word ("shade tail", originally from greek) - wikipedia has interesting articles on "black squirrel" and "The Tale of Squirrel Nutkin"
